About me
Hello Queens! My name is Brandy, and it’s so nice to meet you!
I am a self-taught makeup artist, born and raised in Chicago, and a mother of two amazing boys, Willy and Kam.
In July 2020, Makeup By Brandy was born. I received my certification in Bridal Makeup and Makeup Application at New Skills Academy in September 2020. My love for makeup started about nine years ago when I was working third shift at a hotel. During my downtime, I would watch makeup tutorials, and I'd practice on myself, friends, and family members. I specialize in natural glam and bridal, but I love creating bold, more colorful looks as well.
My view is that makeup is for everyone and I am a firm believer of doing whatever the F*#k makes you happy. Makeup is fun, it is art, and it allows you to be your creative self.
No one NEEDS makeup, and I don’t think we should wear it to cover up what we feel are flaws, or because someone else thinks we should or shouldn’t. I love using the art of makeup to ENHANCE the beautiful features we were born with. I live by the fact that a bold red lip will fix any bad day, no matter who you are!

Bridal Trial
A bridal trial is so imprtant because you get the opportunity to define your look for the big day. This trial is relaxed, we will have plenty of time to discuss your bridal beauty vision. You get to try out the makeup, tweaking it as you go, so it can be perfect before the " I do".
What to expect
from your trial
We suggest you bring inspiration photos of your favorite makeup looks or even your own pictures where you felt like your makeup made you feel confident. Makeup can look very different on each individual depending on their eye and face shape, skin type, hair color, etc. That is why it is best to tryout these looks before your big day to ensure that you will look your very best.

FAQ
What steps are required to book your services for a wedding?
After responding to the initial inquiry, a final count of services is requested, and a contract is sent. Booking and date are not secured until the contract is signed and the deposit is sent.
When is the best time to book?
Most brides book their bridal services 9 months- 1 year in advance, but I recommend securing your makeup artist well in advance to secure their availability.
Can I make changes to my appointment once booked?
We will do our best to accommodate your request, however, it is not guaranteed. Please get in contact with your artist as soon as possible.
Do you offer any discounts?
All of my rates are firm and non-negotiable.
How does timing work for the wedding day?
I will curate a detailed timeline. This includes time slots for each person's services and an outline of how to prepare for your appointment. I will also arrive 15-20 minutes ahead of our scheduled start time to set up.
Policies and fees
A 50% deposit is required to book, the remainder is due at the end of your service
Cancellations made 72 hours or more in advance, will receive a 50% refund of your deposit. Less than 72-hour notice will result in a fee of 100% of your deposit
Please note that if you are 10 minutes late for your appointment, we may have to cancel the service. This will result in the loss of your deposit. Please be on site at the time of your appointment.
Early Morning fee: (before 8 am) $15
After Hours fee: (after 7 pm) $15
Last Minute booking fee: (day of) $20
Travel fee: Starting $35 depending on location
